Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!
We celebrated Daddy's Birthday on 26th March 2009 @ Sun & Surf Cafe @ Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel. We had a nice international buffet dinner which costs RM 78++ per person. Fortunately, Mommy have CITIBANK credit card which allows 30% off from the normal price.
Xavier was very busy on the high chair for the first 2 hours. Then, he wants us to play with him. Then, he fell asleep at the end of the dinner.
I was not in the photos as I was more busy eating. *wink*

Learning step by step
Since Xavier started standing as per yesterdays' post, I noticed that he is attempting to walk. He is just 9 months plus and learning to walk. My little baby is growing to be a toddler soon.
Stand up! plus other updates...
ooo.. I love this photo.. taken last weekend, now Xavier can stand up on his own.
Other updates:
1) He can sit on his own.
2) I introduce beef today (23-Mar-2009) - the beef is Australian beef which is meant for stir fry as it is tender and cooked with brown rice, beetroot and brocolli.
3) I will introduce pear today for dessert. I bought a very expensive RM 8.00 for 2 US pear. It's reddish like an apple . The flesh is different from the normal green pear as it is softer and do not need blending.

Vegetable of the Month (in March)
Xavier prefers this leafy vegetable than "chai sim" and celery. Hence, I called it the vegetable of the month of March.
More information about this vegetable:
Spinach is one of the most nutrient-rich foods in the world. Its combination of vitamins, fiber, and anti-oxidants make it suited to a number of nutritional requirements.
Irene's Method of cooking:
1 bundle of the spinach washed thoroughly without the root. Chop and steam for 10 ~ 15 mins. Blend for puree or serve straight after steaming or mix with porridge (made of brown rice) for additional carbohydrate and fibre. Serve in one small bowl and freeze the remaining (and use up the soonest possible)

Chilling @ Genting
8-Mar-09 (Sunday) ~ 9-Mar-09 (Monday-Public Holiday): The trip to Genting as a last minute plan since our Pulau Ketam trip on Monday was postponed until further notice (until the sunnier morning). I called the Genting booking line at 4pm and enquired for the First World Hotel since it is the latest hotel and should be cleaner. It took us approx. 1.5 hours from our house to the top and when we reach there, we need to que for number to check-in, which took us almost an hour for the long que..
Xavier and Mommy at the hilltop view
The moment we enter the lif, this notice caught my eyes (notice how loving are the cat and the dog..):
Xavier with Daddy in front of Highland Hotel. It was really cold although in the late morning!!!! Xavier had to wear a sweater and we always make sure that he is well covered up.
Xavier enjoying his crawl in the hotel room

I enjoyed the time spent with my family and I am glad that Xavier enjoyed the car ride compared to his first trip to Genting.

Back to the future.....
Thank you blogger Family First, I was thinking about what to post this week since I didn't take any happening photos for this month yet. I got this from your blog.
So here it goes!! back to the pre-Xaviers' story:
1. Was your first pregnancy planned?
- We plan to let God plan for the pregnancy.
2. Were you married at that time?
-Yeap. During the 1st year of marriage, people (those keh po..) keep asking us when we are having the little one.. we just tell them to wait.. after one year, no one really ask anymore..guess that they gave up asking..
3. What were your reactions?
- I was overwhelmed and don't know who to tell as Donna (housemate) sleeps on the dot (11.30pm), so I called hubby.. He was overwhelmed! I couldn't sleep too.... well, guess that next time should use the test kit in the morning...
4. Was abortion an option for you?
- Nope. Baby is God's blessing for couples.
5. How old were you?
- Twenty nine
6. How did you find out you were pregnant?
- When we just got married, I was hoping for the good news when my period didn't turn up. However, we didn't give up but just keep cool and enjoy the newly married year.... until 1 year plus later.....one fine night, I was sitting and watching TV with my housemate Donna, while my hubby went out..so, I was talking about the 2 months late and she suggested that I should check. One of the instruction on the test kit sounds like "Use first thing in the morning..." guess I didn't follow instructions and went into the bathroom around midnight to test out.. Well, yeah!! there were TWO lines !!! (indicate "POSITIVE PREGNANT")...

17. Was it a surprise or did you know?
- Not applicable.
18. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy?
